We’re just a regular family who were tired of the city life. We moved out of the suburbs to rural Alabama in 2022 to start a homestead. Among the challenges and copious amounts of mud, we’ve discovered an abundance of hilarity and creativity. We are here to share our journey through mishaps, education, and more mud.

Here at Shifty Critters Homestead, we are doing the thing. Growing our own food and all. This lifestyle comes with animals, though. Shocking, I know! And these animals all have their own personalities as unique and dynamic as you and me! We invite you to join in the chaos, which we write about on the blog.
